Susie Townsend
I am Susie Townsend (she/her) and I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) registered with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies).
I have worked in mental health services since 2003 including acute, rehabilitation, community and primary care NHS, firstly as an Occupational Therapist then as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
I have always held an interest in people, their lives, their experiences and how these have shaped
the person they become and their interactions and relationships with themselves and others.
I have extensive experience working with people, who have symptoms of Depression, Low Self Esteem and Anxiety including, Social Anxiety, OCD, Health Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety and Worry, PTSD, Phobias, Panic, Emotional Eating and Long Term Health Conditions.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of my work. I support individuals to identify
their goals and areas of their life that are limiting them in achieving a more fulfilling experience and to reduce symptoms that are causing distress.
I currently offer one to one CBT in person and online. I see people at Fiveways Hub, 360b Ditchling Road, BN1 6JG.
I offer a free 20 minute confidential screening call to discuss whether CBT could be helpful for you.
